BCA Part J5 Air-conditioning system control
BCA Part J5 Air-conditioning and ventilation systems generally stipulate the minimum energy efficiency for significant HVAC equipment and components. This building code may only mandate the installations specified but in no way able to police operational matters during occupancy. This Part is only applicable to air-conditioned areas and does not include not conditioned spaces such as toilets and plant rooms.
Note: Class 8 electrical substation are exempted from Part J5, because these substations are considered mission-critical and override features for energy conservation may be detrimental to the electrical network.
