The IPLV (Integrated Part Load Value) was developed by the Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) to estimate the performance characteristic of chillers.
IPLV = 0.01A+0.42B+0.45C+0.12D
Where: A = EER or COP at 100% chiller capacity B = EER or COP at 75% chiller capacity C = EER or COP at 50% chiller capacity D = EER or COP at 25% chiller capacity
In other words; the chiller is estimated to be operating 1% at maximum capacity, 42% at 75% capacity, 45% at 50% capacity and 12% at 25% capacity.
