Victoria energy efficiency target (VEET) and Victoria energy upgrades (VEU) - Practical HVAC

Many businesses although may be eligible for the Victoria energy upgrades (VEU) scheme under the Victorian Energy Efficiency Target Regulations 2008 for their energy upgrade works. They are however not aware or know how to secure the rebate. More so if you are planning your pathway for NABERS upgrade, you are eligible under the VEET scheme.

So what is the Victorian energy efficiency target (VEET) scheme? VEET promotes the uptake of energy efficient upgrade activities in Victoria. Eligible upgrades switching over to more energy efficient practices and products are issued with Victorian energy efficiency certificates (VEECs) for the amount of energy saved. VEET rewards financial incentives of up to 10 years of energy saved in VEEC back to these eligible upgrades. The VEET scheme applies to all households, commercial businesses and industrial factories. In other words, it rewards people and companies for doing the right thing to reduce energy use and wastages.

The VEET scheme is not limited to lighting upgrades, it includes installation of high-efficiency hot water systems, upgrades to HVAC and etc.
